Dr. Arash Horizon is the founder and chief executive officer of the Center for Rheumatology Medical Group, which boasts an expanding staff of rheumatologists, registered nurses and staff members working together in a 5,000 square foot office located across the street from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. The new facility allows patients to have laboratory tests, digital X-rays, bone density and infusions completed in one location, allowing for both time management and continuity of care.
Dr. Horizon is board-certified in rheumatology and is an active member of the American College of Rheumatology. Dr. Horizon specializes in treating patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis, Psoriatic Arthritis, Ankylosing Spondylitis, Gout, Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, Inflammatory Bowel Disease associated Arthritis, Osteoarthritis, Osteoporosis, Chondrocalcinosis, Discoid Lupus, Scoliosis, and other joint issues.
Dr. Horizon is also dedicated to improving future treatment options. As such, Dr. Horizon is an active investigator involved with more than 25 ongoing clinical trials for additional possible treatments of Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Osteoarthritis, Psoriatic Arthritis, Ankylosing Spondylitis and Fibromyalgia. Dr. Horizon and his research are published in peer-reviewed papers, abstracts and textbooks.
Dr. Horizon has received numerous awards for his diagnosis, treatment and exquisite bedside manners including annual Super Doctor recognition.
Dr. Horizon graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1994 with both a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology and a Bachelor’s of Arts in Economics and Business Administration. He went on to complete his medical degree at the University of California at San Diego in 1998. He completed his internship and Internal Medicine residency at the University of California Los Angeles in 2001 and then went on to complete his fellowship in Rheumatology at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in 2003. Dr. Horizon is fluent in English, Farsi, and Spanish.
