Dr. Arash Horizon
Dr. Arash Horizon is the CEO of the Center for Rheumatology Medical Group, which boasts a staff of 11 full time employees, and a new 5,000 square foot office located next to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He also serves as an attending Rheumatologist and educator at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Horizon is board-certified in Rheumatology and Internal Medicine and is an active member of the American College of Rheumatology. In addition, he has served on the Medical and Scientific Committee of the Arthritis Foundation and continues to lecture at numerous medical conferences, including the annual UCLA Board Review Course, on various rheumatic conditions.
Dr. Horizon specializes in patients suffering with Rheumatoid Arthritis, Psoriatic Arthritis, Ankylosing Spondylitis, Gout, Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, Osteoarthritis, Osteoporosis, Chondrocalcinosis, Discoid Lupus, Scoliosis, and joint issues.
The new facility provides patients with the ability to have their labs, digital X-rays, bone density and infusions all in one location, allowing for both time management and continuity of care.
Dr. Horizon is rather interested in research and the future treatment of inflammatory conditions, He is an active investigator, involved in more than 25 ongoing clinical trials in Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Osteoarthritis, Psoriatic Arthritis, Ankylosing Spondylitis and Fibromyalgia. Furthermore, he is published in peer-reviewed papers, abstracts and textbooks. He has received several awards on numerous online websites for his exquisite bedside manner, compassion and knowledge of various rheumatoid ailments and immune related issues.
Dr. Horizon graduated with Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1994. He went on to University of California at San Diego to complete his medical degree in 1998 . He completed his Internship and Residency for Internal Medical at UCLA in 2001 and his fellowship in Rheumatology at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in 2003. He is fluent in Farsi, English, and Spanish.
